Amazing sugar-free chocolate

I hope I haven’t given the impression that I never touch industrial food. Maybe I shouldn’t… I’m not sure. But there are industrial foods I eat to ease my transition to real food. One of those things is chocolate. And this chocolate is really amazing. No splenda or aspertame, no sugar, no candida yeast food, and no insulin spikes.

Food for special occasions?

Papa and I had a conversation this week about what to serve for a birthday party. Is white flour and sugar ok if it’s “organic”? Does it even matter whether it’s organic or not? Should we spring for a $20 store-bought white cake, or buy a cake mix for 99 cents? Is there any point in worrying about it, since a cake, by definition, is junk food? (more…)

Birthday Cake!

Well, somebody is going to celebrate his fourth birthday tomorrow. I thought of buying a store cake, made of grossness, and then I thought it would be cheaper to make a cake mix, if I were going to serve non-food. But the problem with that is that the boxes of cake mix and cans of frosting have labels, that say things like:
